Joseph Ali, 93, a resident of Sayville, NY for nearly sixty years, died on March 1, 2025. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Joseph earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Iona College and went on to earn Master’s Degrees at both Yeshiva University and Pratt Institute. He worked for more than forty years as an administrator in the Sachem School District. Mr. Ali also loved to paint and was an accomplished artist.
Mr. Ali is survived by his wife, Helen, his five children, Kenneth and his wife Lorraine of Mamaroneck, Richard of Tennessee, Helene Donnelly and her husband Bob of Manorville, David and his wife Helen of Hampton Bays and Elizabeth Delaney of Sayville, his fourteen grandchildren, Joseph and his wife Allison, Katherine and her husband Shaun, Rachael, Bridget, Danielle and her husband Ryan, Timothy, Jacqueline, Robert, Nicole and her husband Doug, Matthew, Megan, Patrick, Kevin and Justin, ten great-grandchildren, Adelaide, Evie, Colette, Colin, Bobby, Henry, Kimmerly, Jolene, Erin and Cameron, as well as his sister, Helen Goss of New Jersey.
Friends and relatives will gather on Friday, March 7th, 4-8 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in Bayport. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 8th at 10:45 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville and interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
