Jon A. Svendsen

Jon A. Svendsen, 58 of Sayville, passed on September 26, 2020. Born in Oceanside, raised in Bayport. During his early years, Jon was an outstanding athlete, winning many awards for football and wrestling. He enjoyed boating, and was an award winning fisherman competing in many fishing tournaments. Jon was a "non serious" golfer and fun loving playful father to his sons as they grew up. Jon dedicated his 40+ year career to the family business, Blue Point Marina.

Beloved husband of Lori. Loving father of Zachary and Dane (deceased). Cherished brother of Debra (Kerry) Greiner, Jimmy (Corina), Danny (Dawn), Donna (Michael) Placente and Judy (Richard). Adored son of the late Howard and Florence. Loving uncle too many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Raynor & D'Andrea funeral home 245 Montauk Hwy West Sayville, New York 11796 on Saturday October 3 from 5-7:00 pm. Chapel service will be 6:30 pm at the funeral home Saturday evening. A private cremation will follow.
