John Peter Wilkens

John Peter Wilkens, 56, of Yaphank, New York, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.  Raised in Laurel Hollow, John lived in Sayville for nearly twenty years before moving out to Yaphank two years ago.  John was a longtime pilot with several airlines and charter companies and more recently worked with the FAA as a Safety Inspector.

Mr. Wilkens is survived by his wife, Tracy, his two children, Jack and Brooke, as well as his sister, Monika Hoffer and her husband Rich of Syosset and their two children, Richard and Kristina.

Friends and relatives will gather on Saturday, October 18th, 3-7 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville.
