John Martin Erickson

John Martin Erickson, age 84, fifty five year resident of Bayport passed away on September 3, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.  

John proudly served his country as a member of the US Coast Guard.  He went on to become an air traffic controller and later an exterminator.

He will be fondly remembered for his witty sense of humor, hearty laughter and outgoing warm nature.  He was generous with his time, often spent helping others and serving as a lecture and Eucharistic minister in his parish.  He was also a proud member of the American Legion.  

John is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Peggy, his children John (Debi), Tom (Sheila), Harold (Colleen), Peggy Capogna (Carlo), Mark (Kerry) and his grandchildren Liam, Colin, Dillon, James, Kyleigh, Kieran, Maggie, Wade, Grady, Finn and Maeve as well as his many dear nieces, nephews and friends.
