John Francis DePompeo

John Francis DePompeo, 89, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Sayville, NY, passed away on October 17, 2025. John was a teacher in the East Islip School District for 37 years, where he also coached Wrestling, Track and Football. John was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 184.

Mr. DePompeo is survived by his children, John and his wife Michele, Judy Paul and her husband Patrick, Carla Stoehr and her partner Jeff and Philip and his wife Sally Stoll, as well as his sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia, son Joseph, as well as three grandsons, John, Luke and Adam.

Friends and relatives will gather Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral home in West Sayville.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence the Martyr RC Church in Sayville and burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
