Joan Dolores Jones

Joan Jones, a lifelong resident of Sayville and West Sayville, passed away on June 9th, she will now be with her beloved Freddie.  She leaves behind her daughters and their husbands, Kathie (the late Leonard),  Debbie (Bill),  Bonnie (Alan), and her son and his wife, Wayne (Judy) as well as her grandchildren, Lenny, Crystal, Heather, Shaun, Keith, Justin and Kendall, and two great grandchildren with whom she adored greatly.

Joan retired from the Sayville School district after working at Cherry Avenue Elementary School for over 40 years.  She and Fred maintained a beautiful home for many years and it was a storybook setting. Holidays were special for Joan, she was an accomplished baker, and her cooking was beyond compare.  Summer vacations in Montauk with everyone made special memories for all.  She and Freddie loved to bike ride on the east end.  They took many cruises and trips all around the country.  Joan loved to take pictures of the family and loaded them on her computer for all to see.  She made special cards on her computer to celebrate birthdays and special occasions. We all loved receiving them in the mail.  Joanie and Freddie dearly loved each other and loved their family.

Joanie will be greatly missed, her laugh, her voice and her never ending love for her family.  She will live in the hearts and minds of all those who loved her.  We were so fortunate to have her with us for all these years.  We love you Joanie, and will never forget you.  Be with your beloved Freddie and say hi to him for us. We will forever love you and miss you both.
