Jerry Dietz

Jerry Dietz, 92, of Boca Raton, Florida, formerly of Bayport, New York, died on June 1, 2025. Raised in Bayport, Jerry graduated from Bayport- Blue Point High School in 1950 and was named Best Male Athlete of his class. After high school, Jerry served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. Mr. Dietz worked for Clare Rose in sales and delivering for many years. He was also a longtime volunteer fireman with the Bayport Fire Department.

Mr. Dietz is survived by his wife Linda of more than 60 years. He is also survived by his children, Jack and his wife Joanne of West Sayville, Jerry and his wife Julia of Maryland and Cindy Jo and Matthew of Florida, as well as nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Linda Dietz Smith. Friends and relatives will gather for his interment at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 12 p.m. Military honors will be rendered as part of the ceremony.
