Jignasu “Bablu” Shah
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jignasu Bhagvati Shah (aka Jay or Bablu). Bablu, age 49, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. He was born on January 16, 1972 in India and spent most of his life in New York.
Bablu was an avid sports fan. He played lacrosse in high school and was a big fan of the New York Giants. He enjoyed comedy shows, stand-up comedy, and watching movies and TV shows. He always provided his family members with streaming apps so they could watch their favorite shows, and enjoyed sharing his love and knowledge of films.
Bablu was always willing to lend a helping hand. His presence, compassion, and his open-minded nature made an everlasting impression to everyone he has met. He touched many lives with his kindness, big personality, and ability to be attentive to others, making him a bright light in people’s lives. Bablu is lovingly survived by his parents Bhagvatibhai and Pravinaben Shah, his sister Priti, and many family members that loved him deeply.
A memorial service for Bablu will he held on Saturday, May 1st, 2021. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, capacity is limited for the service. A zoom link will be provided for everyone to join.
