Jane M. Tierney, 91, of Sayville, LI, died on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Born in Arlington, Virginia, Jane came to Long Island as a teenager when her family moved to Garden City. In 1951 she married James Tierney and the couple settled in Sayville in 1963. Mrs. Tierney was a longtime member of the Sayville Yacht Club and worked for the Bayport-Blue Point High School as an administrator for more than twenty-five years.
Mrs. Tierney was predeceased by her husband James in 1988 and by her daughter Ellen in 2019. She is survived by her son, J. Michael Tierney and his wife Marylou of California, as well as her four grandchildren, Michael, Grace, Sara and David.
