Jack D. Geoghan, age 58, of Bayport, died on March 10, 2023.
A lifelong resident of the towns of Sayville and Bayport, he graduated Sayville High School in 1982 and Stonybrook University in 1986. After college he successfully became a licensed Real Estate Appraiser, continuously owning two appraisal businesses over thirty years. Growing up feet from the Great South Bay, he was a knowledgeable and competitive sailor, racing for both Wet Pants Sailing Association and the Sayville Yacht Club where he and his family had been members for twenty years. In the 1980s he was also one of the youngest Fire Island Ferry Boat Captains in the fleet.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Sydney of Albany, NY and his son, Liam of Bayport, his wife, Marilyn Weingart-Geoghan, his mother, Carol A. Bialer of Bayport, his brothers, Terence Geoghan and companion Suzanne Martin of Blue Point, Michael Bialer and his wife Holly of FL, and his nieces Dana Carver-Bialer and wife Cassie, and Gillian Bialer, fiancé Jordan. He was predeceased by his father, John Geoghan and his step father, Seymour Bialer.
Friends and relatives will gather at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in Bayport on Tuesday, the 14th. Interment to take place at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Sayville on Wednesday the 15th.
