Jack Corcoran, 90, of Sayville, NY, passed peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2023, surrounded by his family. Jack was born and raised in Queens and summered in Blue Point as a boy. He moved to Sayville in 1962, and resided there until his passing. Jack’s first career was in foodservice; working for national companies before establishing his own business serving hospitals and colleges in the NY metropolitan area. Upon retirement, he worked at Islip Hardware Store until he was 85 in a job he loved more than any other.
Jack was a devout Catholic, singing in the choir as a child and was an active member of St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville. He served on the Parish Council, was a eucharistic minister for over 30 years, volunteered as a Bingo caller in the 80s and managed the foodservice at the St. Lawrence Bazaar.
Jack was incredibly proud of his family, and is survived by his wife, Patricia, his four children, Kevin and his wife Deborah of Virginia, Brigid Marino of Sayville, Meghan Richardson and her husband John of Maryland and Timothy and his wife Heather of West Sayville, as well as his grandchildren, Liam, Carolan, Maggie, Tommy, James, Eilise, Aniela, Grace, Trey, Jack and Lily. He was predeceased by his sister, Anne Scully.
Friends and relatives will gather at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville on Tuesday, September 19th 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 20th at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church and interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
