Irwin Ferman

Graveside Service- Friday September 10, 2021 at Patchogue Hebrew Cemetery, Holtsville at 3:00 pm********

Irwin Ferman, 83, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather died on Sept. 6, 2021 after a lengthy period of decling health.  He was born to Martin and Katherine (Roth) Ferman in New York City, NY. on August 14, 1938.  He had a long career in the Jewelry industry in Manhattan, NY.  He had various positions for many manufacturers.  He was very well known in the industry.  He married his wife, Barbara (Mendelson) Ferman on July 2,1960.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Mendelson Ferman; son, Alan Ferman(Gail), Daughters, Sharon Infante(Paul), ElissaNigro (Vince); 4 grandchildren, Tina (Danielle), Mitchell, Sydney, and Steven, one great-grandchild Jaylee, sister Francine Abramson, and brother in law, Myron (Dale)Mendelson, and many nephews, nieces and cousins.  He was predeceased by 2 grandchildren, Chloe and Julia Nigro.

He had many hobbies, knitting,crocheting,painting and other crafts.

Donations may be made in Irwin’s name  to the following organizations: Alzheimers Association,  Parkinsons Foundation, American Cancer Society, or Donate Life America.

Family will be sitting Shiva on Sunday Sept 12:  12:30 - 5 pm and 6:00 - 9 pm
Monday and Tuesday Sept 13-14: 1-4 pm and 6-9pm
