Helene R. Becher

This is to report the peaceful demise of Helene R. Becher (nee Rizzo) of Bayport, New York on May 18, 2025 at age 87.  She was the co-captain and first mate with husband Robert and crew chief to sons Andrew, Carl, and Eric and their wives respectively Marie, Elaine, and Jo Ann.  Other survivors are grandchildren Nicholas, Alisha (& fiance Chris Palagye), Lindsey, and Matthew (Carl & Elaine), Lucas, and Zachary (Andrew & Marie) plus great grandson Benjamin (Nicholas & Krystin).  Extended family includes cousins Ben (& Lynne) Gullo, Anthony Marianne Gullo, Marianne (& Mario) Guzman, Brother in law Stephen Dimino, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 20 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home 245 Montauk Highway West Sayville. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church in Blue Point.
