Helen Elizabeth Fattarusso was born on December 6, 1935, in Maspeth, Queens, to William and Netty Henderson. She grew up in a loving family and later married the love of her life, Vincent Fattarusso, on November 27, 1954. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on love, laughter, and family until Vincent’s passing in 2017.
In 1995, Helen and Vincent built a retirement home in the little town of Hawley, Pennsylvania. That Hawley home quickly became a treasured gathering place where they loved entertaining their children and grandchildren—sharing meals, stories filled with laughter.
Helen was a devoted mother to her four children—Nadine, Vincent (Butch), Craig, and Corinne. She was the proud grandmother of eight and the joyful great-grandmother of six. Family was truly the heart of her world. She made every holiday special—especially Christmas—and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
In 1972, Helen began working at Estée Lauder on the conveyor belts, where her strong work ethic and determination shined. Through hard work and dedication, she rose to become a Quality Control Inspector, retiring in 1997.
Helen was a woman full of life and humor. She had a nickname for everyone and everything, and her quick wit brought smiles to all who knew her. She loved to travel, sharing adventures with her husband and friends throughout the Caribbean. She also cherished time spent in the Adirondack Mountains and at the family’s Hawley home, surrounded by those she loved.
Helen was funny, strong-willed (sometimes a little too strong-willed!), and deeply caring. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and proud great-grandmother whose legacy of love and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
