Helen Frances Conkle

Helen Frances Conkle, born December 31, 1934 to Helen and Frank Massick. She resided in Great River, East Islip and Bay Shore. Helen graduated from East Islip High School and in January 1957 she married Calvin Conkle, who unfortunately passed away in 1985. She is a member of Christ Community (East Islip Reformed) Church, where she and Calvin were youth counselor for many years. 

She is the cherished sister of Mary Nancy VanEssendelft of West Sayville and the late Faith Hummel of Florida, loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, and cherished sister in-law to the Conkle family.

Donations in Helen’s memory to Christ Community Church, 391 E, Main St., East Islip, NY 11730 would be greatly appreciated.

There will be a private family committal service at Calverton National Cemetery following a private cremation.

A celebration of life will be held at Christ Community Church on January 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
