Glenn Matthew Blumenthal passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family in his daughter Brittany’s home on the evening of March 23, 2025. Glenn was born in Manhattan, New York on July 27, 1959 and spent the majority of his life on Long Island.
All his life, Glenn loved his family fiercely and gave selflessly to those around him. He had a humorous and joyful energy, bringing the life of the party everywhere he went. Glenn was an avid fisherman, especially cherishing his drives onto the beach with his son, Jake, family and friends.
After a long and successful career, with several awards to prove it, he retired to Pennsylvania to be close to his beloved family and grandchildren, Emma Lee and Danny Matthew. Glenn’s presence in this world, and his bear hugs, will be missed greatly by all those who knew him.
Glenn is survived by his three children (Bridgette, Brittany, and Jake), his son in law (Ryan), five grandchildren, and his former wife (Jessica). He is also survived by his four siblings Robert (wife Barbara), Denise (husband Jeremiah), George (late wife Sara), and Susan (husband Rich), as well as his many nieces, nephews, and their children. He was predeceased by his parents, Alice and Robert.
Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, May 3 from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home 683 Montauk Highway, Bayport. A chapel service will begin at 2 p.m.
