Georgann O’Connell (January 9, 1947-December 16, 2025) lived her life as an example of God’s grace and love. She was a wife for over 50 years to John (1943-2022), as well as mother to Christie (John), John George (Michelle) and Peter (Jenny). Georgeann was also a grandmother, teacher and our best friend.
Georgeann loved the warm weather and especially the beach. She enjoyed swimming (whether ocean or a pool) and going camping. She also loved reading, crocheting and spending time with her family. When her children were young, Georgeann had spent time volunteering in church, as well as teaching Bible study classes.
For 14 years, Georgeann was a dedicated special education teacher in the Brentwood School District. When retired, she and her husband, John moved to North Carolina where they spent many happy years there.
Mom will be remembered for her strong faith in God and her love for her three children and many grandchildren. Mom also had a special place in her heart for her cat, Emily. We miss our mom so very much, but we are blessed to know that she is happy and at peace. Our mom was a special lady, strong, brave and kind. She made the world a better place and we will miss her always.
