George E. Mitchell

George E. Mitchell age 94, of Bayport on February 27, 2021. Beloved husband of Constance and the late Rigmor. Loving father of Kirsten, John and Paul (Bette Jane). Cherished grandfather of Jason (Amanda), Peter (Lauren), Brian and great-grandfather of 5. George loved the Lord, his Savior and is home now. Proud veteran of WWII and a resident of Bayport for 60 years. He loved his church, the Bayport Aerodrome and was an avid clock maker. He was a member of the Sabre club and the Sayville Yacht club. Visitation will be on Wednesday March 3rd  from 2-4:30 pm in our Bayport location; 683 Montauk Hwy Bayport, NY 11705. A church service will be at 10:30 am on Thursday March 4th at the Bayport United Methodist Church. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Bayport United Methodist Church 482 Middle Rd. Bayport, New York 11705.
