He was a very active parishioner at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville, where he was a lector, a tenor in the choir, and a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus.
Keating is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia; their children, Peter and his wife Karen of Montclair, N.J., and Sara Ross and her husband Andrew of Holliston, Mass.; their grandchildren, Eleanor, Izabella, Leonardo and Samantha; his sisters, Pamela, Celine and her husband Mark Levy, and Merren Lin and her husband Arnie; and many cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Roger, and sister-in-law Nan.
