Ethel Pryer

Ethel Pryer, passed away on February 13, 2026. She was a resident of Oakdale since 1963, before moving to Roscoe, New York, then back to Sayville to be with family. An avid seamstress, Ethel enjoyed making quilts, pillows and wreaths. She loved to cook, having many a family dinners, topping them off with homemade chocolate and her many homemade desserts. Ethel was very involved with the local gift shops for many years, becoming a well know fixture in the community, forming many of friendships.

Ethel, the beloved mother of her son Wesley Pryer Jr, his wife Terri Pryer and her daughter Debbie Grupp, and husband Tom Grupp, is now home in Glory, joining her husband Wesley.

Visitation- Monday February 16, 2026 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at our West Sayville Funeral Home, 245 Main St.

Chapel Service- Tuesday February 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at our West Sayville Funeral Home, 245 Main St.

Interment- Calverton National Cemetery
