Ellen A. Hathaway

Ellen A. Hathaway, 93, a resident of Sayville since 1968, died on June 11, 2025.  Born and raised in Queens, Ellen graduated Andrew Jackson High School.  She was an active, longtime member of both the Sayville Garden Club and the Pilot Club of Sayville where she served as President.

Mrs. Hathaway was predeceased by her husband Donald in 2015.  She is survived by her three children, Daniel and his wife Evelyn of Connecticut, Kathleen Ambrosio and her husband Dan of Sayville and Chrsitine Hathaway-Gazley and her husband John of Massachusetts, as well as her grandchildren, Danielle (Jonathan) Hart, Jaclyn (Joseph) Guarascio, Brian (Jessica) Ambrosio and Jenna Hathaway, and her great grandchildren, Layla, Joseph, Benjamin, Daniel, Grace, Gianna and Keith.

Friends and relatives will gather on Sunday, June 15th, 3-7 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 16th at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville and interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions made in Ellen’s memory can be sent to the Pilot Club of Sayville, are appreciated.
