Elizabeth A. McLoughlin, age 79, of West Babylon, New York, and most recently of Sayville, New York, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026.
Elizabeth was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Elizabeth (Wisdom) and Olaf Carlsen. She spent her childhood in Brooklyn and Queens, and as an adult, lived in Brooklyn for many years before moving to West Babylon, where she resided for 35 years.
Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late James F. McLoughlin and a devoted mother to Elizabeth (Arthur) and Michael (Stephanie). She was a cherished grandmother to Catherine and Natalie, who brought her immeasurable joy. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law, Jean Jamate, of Staten Island, New York, as well as her loving niece and nephews.
Elizabeth lived a quiet life centered on home and family, and she deeply cherished the close relationships that meant the most to her. A private ceremony will be held to celebrate her life.
