Elinor Ann Molinari

Elinor Ann Molinari, age 86 of Oakdale, N.Y., passed away peacefully at her home on April 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 27, 1939 in Brooklyn, N.Y., Elinor was the daughter of Howard and Jeanette Seckendorf.  She graduated from Erasmus High School  and spent time working at Williams and Wells Company in NYC.

Elinor is predeceased by her husband George Molinari, Sr., who she met when she was 13 and he 14. They married on September 7, 1958 and spent 46 years together before his death in 2004.  Known for her love of gardening, cooking and shopping, she was kind, generous and loved being with her children and their families.  She enjoyed taking trips with her grandchildren and making memories that they will always cherish. 

Elinor is survived by her 6 children (Janice Molinari, Barbara Meyer (the late Johnny Meyer), Susanne Mullen (Charlie), Karen Occhiogrosso (Francis), George Molinari, Jr. and Michael Molinari, Sr. (Dawn); 13 grandchildren, (John and his wife Alia, Crystal, Hollyann, Corey, Shawn, Lauren, Jordan and his wife Taylor, Ashley and her husband Joey, Daniel and his wife Kristen, Matthew, Michael, Jr., Ryan and Ava) and 9 great grandchildren (Karter, Olivia, Owen, Jaxon, Noah, Vincent, Collin, Dominic and Emma) as well as her nieces, nephews and her neighbors who were family to her.

Visitation- Friday April 17, 2026 from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at our West Sayville Funeral Home, 245 Main St.

Chapel Service- Friday April 17, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. at our West Sayville Funeral Home, 245 Main St.
