Edward Viglietta Obituary

Edward J. Viglietta a resident of Oakdale for almost 20 years, passed away April 16, 2022 after a short illness. An army veteran during World War II, Ed was a huge baseball fan, an accomplished player himself making it to the minor league, he rooted for the Brooklyn Dodgers, then became an avid Mets fan. He was a private man and liked his quiet home life. He enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, and cycling, where he rode until his last days. He also had a large interest in vintage classic American automibiles and military history

He is survived by his children Diane, and her husband Mike, Edward, Dawn, and her husband Chuck, his grandchildren Michael, Michele, Charles, Chris, and Colin, and his great grandchildren Michael, Cristiano, and Sophia. He is predeceased by his wife of 51 years Marie and his daughter Lynn.
