Edith Olga Wilckens

Edith Olga Wilckens, passed away on November 21, 2025. She was born in Germany.  Edith moved to the United States in the 1950’s, where she met her soon to be husband Robert. They married in April, 1958 and moved from Corona to Elmont in 1960. In 1965 her and Robert bought a bungalow in WORC in Oakdale, where they would camp for the summers. In 1985, they moved to Calabash, North Carolina. Edith was a past Girl Scout Leader, the past President of the Homemakers Council of Nassau County, a past President of the Ladies Auxiliary at WORC, and became the self-appointed President of the German Club in North Carolina. Edith loved to golf, crochet, and was a very crafty person who would always be open to trying new things. She was always a positive person who embraced life to the fullest.

She is survived by her children Barbara and her husband Michael, Dianne and her husband Louis, and Linda and her husband Kevin, her grandchildren Kristin, (Michael), Vanessa, (Conor), Stephanie, (Ryan), Louis, (Jill) Robert, and Ryan, and her great grandchildren Cameron, Logan, Vivien, Stella, Marlow, Lucas, Margot, Layla, and Michael.  Edith is predeceased by her husband Robert.

Memorial Visitation- Saturday December 6, 2025 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at our West Sayville Funeral Home, 245 Main St.
