CAPIZOLA -- Dominick, of Sayville, NY, passed away on June 27. He was 73. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Gina, daughter and son-in-law, Elisabetta Capizola and Scott Cliff, their son Marcello Dominick, his sisters Theresa Strazzulo and Lucille Fazio, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Adolfo and Anna Galeotafiore, and his nieces and nephews Raffaella, Johnny, Dino, Patsy, Natalie, Sonny, Christine, and Robert. For the last 55 years, Dominick dedicated himself to uplifting the hearts of others as a catering and banquet manager. He masterfully orchestrated affairs with care for every detail, always exceeding the expectations of those that entrusted their special occasion to him. Born in the Bronx, Dominick attended High School in Deer Park, Long Island and completed a Bachelor’s degree at Baruch College. Throughout his career, he worked at exclusive restaurants and clubs all over the country, though he ultimately settled on Long Island. When not at the country club, Dominick could often be found enjoying a leisurely drive, taking in the sunset by the Great South Bay, or reading; his thirst for learning was insatiable. Dominick was an empathetic soul and devout Catholic who continuously studied scripture and philosophy. No matter the circumstance, he could provide counsel and guide you in the search for meaning. But most of all Dominick loved  being surrounded by family, and they are very lucky to have been in his care. He was proud of everything his family did. Pervading all aspects of Dominick’s life was a playful sense of humor. He was a kid at heart that had a joke for every occasion and loved to make others laugh, especially the family he loved with all of his heart. His mark on this world and everyone he met was profound. He was one-of-a-kind and will always be in our hearts.
