Dennis C. George

Dennis C. George, 73, of Babylon, died on Saturday, November 16, 2024.  Raised in West Islip, Dennis graduated from West Islip High School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics at Stony Brook University.  Dennis was a Licensed Professional Engineer and went to work for the L.I.R.R. for 35 years retiring in 2004 as a Chief Engineer.

Dennis is survived by his wife Rosanne,  his two children; his son, Daniel and his daughter, Christine (Jeff) Hodgdon, his two grandchildren, Camryn and Keira, his siblings Michael (Judy ) george, Karen (Mortimore (Rich), Kenny (Carol) George, Donna (John) Palminteri, Brian (Barbara) George, his Brother in law and sister in laws; Bob (Jeanne) Nevill, Kathleen Nevill, Michael (Marge) Murphy, Mary Anne (Steve) Vitella, Patti Nevill and Paul Nevill, he is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. 

           Services will be held at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Sayville at 11:00 am Tuesday November 19th. Interment will follow at  St. Ann’s cemetery.
