Deirdre H. Lawler

Deirdre H. Lawler, 63, a lifelong resident of the Bayport area, died on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.  Deirdre was a graduate of Bayport-Blue Point High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree at New Paltz.  Known for her infectious smile and positive spirit, Deirdre could be found working behind the bar at several local establishments including Governor’s Pub in West Sayville and Blackbirds in Sayville.  She also worked as a floral design assistant with West Sayville Country Florist for many years.

Deirdre is survived by her sister, Brigid and her husband John from Vermont, as well as countless friends.  She was predeceased by her parents, Kieran and Elayne Lawler, as well as by her two brothers, Padraic and Daniel Lawler.

Friends and relatives will gather on Friday, May 9th, 4-8 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in Bayport.  There will also be a celebration of Deirdre’s life held at a later date.
