David Lorber Obituary

David Joseph Lorber, age 51, resident of Setauket, LI., died on December 29, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He was also a fiercely loyal friend to many across the country. David had a special zest for life. He and his wife Kate shared an amazing love of music and attended hundreds of concerts across the country with family and friends.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years Kate, his children Julianna Irene, Magnolia Dominique, and Isaac David, his mother Dolores Lorber, his sisters Kimberly Testa and her husband Vincent, Toni Marie Ruggiero and her husband Rick. David was predeceased by his father William.

David was a man of many hats and had an extensive list of life goals which in his short time he managed to see through. As a young man, he was involved in all aspects of construction; he over saw new housing developments in Holtsville, NY. Later on, he lived out his dream of owning and operating a tie dye shop on Haight Street in California. In these last years, he achieved his long-term goal of returning to the law field and opened a successful law firm in his hometown. He truly believed he could help spin the world.

David’s smile was contagious and his wit unmatched. He was deeply loved by many. It was his life’s mission to make the world a better place and share his love of the Lord. He leaves behind the best parts of himself in his three children.
