David A. D'Andrea

David A. D’Andrea, 89, of Copiague, LI, formerly a longtime resident of Babylon, passed away on March 8, 2022, surrounded by his family.  Born and raised in Amityville, Dave graduated from Amityville High School and went on to serve in the US Navy.  He earned his license in Mortuary Science at Simmons Institute of Funeral Service in Syracuse and in 1957 opened D’Andrea Brothers Funeral Home in Copiague, a business that he ran with his brother Richard for more than thirty years.

Mr. D’Andrea is survived by his wife, Leeann, his three daughters, Mary Joy and her husband Daniel Oill, Donna and her husband George Cornell and Lisa and her husband Kriss Gulbrandsen, all of Amityville, his son, David and his wife Lisa of Copiague, his grandchildren, Daniel, Jaclyn, Teddy, Olivia, Kristofer, Sophia, Lily and Reanna, his brother, Gilbert and his wife Meredith of Islip and his sister-in-law, Virginia of Amityville, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives will gather on Friday, March 11th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at D’Andrea Brothers Funeral Home, 99 Oak Street in Copiague.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours RC Church in Amityville and interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
