Daniel Shannon

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Shannon, 96, of Morristown, New Jersey, on April 8, 2021.  A resident of Morristown for the past ten years, Mr. Shannon lived in Islip, New York for many years prior.  Mr. Shannon was a decorated World War II veteran who served in the United States Army with pride. He worked for many years as a milkman in all five boroughs of New York & Long Island.

Mr. Shannon is survived by his three children, Daniel Jr. and his wife Donna of Mississippi, Donald of New Mexico and Darlene Garaffa and her husband Dave of New Jersey, his nine grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, as well as two siblings, Alice Taylor and Anna Amadio and a host of beloved nieces and nephews, SDA church family and friends.  He was predeceased by his loving wife, of almost sixty years, Althea in 2007.
