In Loving Memory of Cynthia Dunton

Cynhthia embodied compassion, intuition, and the ability to create a warm, nurturing space for everyone around her.

A proud graduate of Hofstra University, Cynthia earned her Master’s Degree in Education and dedicated her career to teaching art. She had an extraordinary talent for watercolors, creating timeless works of art that reflected her creative soul. In her classroom, she taught not just art but also self-expression, always reminding her students to “look closer” and appreciate the beauty in life. Cynthia also had a passion for gardening.

Cynthia had a way with words and wisdom. She carried herself with an old-school elegance, using thoughtful phrases and timeless humor to brighten any room she entered. She had a gift for making her point with kindness, leaving an impression that was both powerful and gentle—a reflection of her grace.

Her love of travel took her across Europe, where she found joy in exploring historic cities, indulging in local cuisines, and soaking in the art and culture she so deeply loved.

Cynthia raised two wonderful children, Donna and William. She was a proud grandmother to Johnny, William, Kristin and Lauren, and a great-grandmother to Charlotte, Emerson, Preston, London, and Madison.

Cynthia was Married to Emerson Dunton, her Soulmate and True Love of Her Life. Together they built a warm and loving home and enjoyed a Charmed life Playing Golf in SpringHill Florida and Bay Shore, NY.
