Claire Cunningham Miller

Claire J. Miller    4/9/37 – 2/23/25   Born in Brooklyn, NY, her family moved to Massapequa in the early 1950’s. Claire attended Amityville High School where she met her husband, Skip. They married after graduation and soon added two children to the family. In 1964, the Millers moved to Sayville. Claire was a wonderful stay-at-home mom caring for her family and running the household. In the early 70’s, she took a part-time job at Sunrise Drive Elementary School cafeteria and playground for lunchtime where she loved working with the children. Shortly after her divorce, she was hired at the IRS in Holtsville and worked there for 35 years. In time, Claire worked her way up to manager. She was proud to attend Suffolk Community College and earned her associate’s degree. Claire lived in her home in Sayville for over 60 years. She loved traveling the world, reading, gardening, listening to the likes of Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson. But mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Claire is survived by her children Diane Miller-Magnani (Rick), Kevin Miller, her two granddaughters Olivia Oake-Otvos (Balint), and Julia Magnani as well as two beautiful great granddaughters Isabella Oake and Scarlett Otvos, her brother Richard Cunningham (Mary), and her sister Janice Cunningham (Steve Nenni).

Arrangements entrusted to Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home. A church service will be held on Saturday, April 12th  11:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Episcopal Church, Sayville
