Christina Soper, age 78, resident of Sayville died on November 28, 2024.
Christina was born in the Bronx and grew up in Seaford. She went on to study dental hygiene at Farmingdale State College. During her time in school, a classmate, Susie, would introduce Christina to her future husband Richard. Christina and Richard married in 1969 and started a family in Sayville. Christina raised her two sons as a stay-at-home mom. She then applied for a job as a teacher’s assistant with Connetquot School District where she stayed for 20 years. Throughout her life, Christina enjoyed photography. She especially loved photographing nature and animals.
Christina is survived by her husband Richard, her children Keith and Brian and his wife Jennifer, her grandchildren Zachary, Benjamin and Rebecca, her nieces Nicole and Lynda, and her mother Jeannette Vairo.
Family and friends will gather briefly at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home 245 Montauk Hwy. West Sayville on Tuesday, December 3rd at 10:00 a.m. before processing to Calverton National Cemetery.
