Charles R. Granniss, 82, of Sayville, NY, died on April 5, 2025. A resident of Sayville since 1967, Mr. Granniss worked as master electrician; running his own business, Granniss Electrical Contracting, for many years before going to work as an electrician for Newsday in Melville.
Mr. Granniss was predeceased by his wife Carol in 2020. He is survived by his two children, Charles Jr. and his wife Annette of Ohio and Kimberly Stewart and her husband Brien of Oakdale, as well as his five grandchildren, Melody, Heather, Charles III, Colton and Kyler, four great-grandchildren, Everleigh, Penelope, Nova and Olive, and his brother, James and his wife Bea of Amityville.
Friends and relatives will gather at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville on Wednesday, April 9th at 11 a.m. where a religious service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
