Carl William Budrewicz

Carl Budrewicz passed away peacefully at Tampa General Hospital on Saturday June 18, 2022. He was born August 14, 1948. As a young man he attended a Vocational school which taught him electrical skills to advance his career. At age 18 he was drafted & served in Vietnam. He was proud to be an American and fought honorably in the United States Army to preserve our freedom.

Once he was discharged he worked for Metalectrics, Inc which was where he put his electrical knowledge to use. Thankfully a career change led to the opportunity to create an entire electrical division for Topaz Lighting, Inc. It was his baby as much as it was Ken Gomes and his sons Russ and Tim. It speaks volumes when after being retired for five years CES voted him one of the best for the year and inducted him into their hall of fame.

Carl had a life filled with love and happiness. His family was everything to him. He was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed traveling, golfing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife Debra, His children Thomas, Christine with husband Michael, Jennifer with husband Lenny, Michael, as well as his grandchildren: Dominick, Sophia and Nicolas. He is also survived by his brother Ricky and wife Maryann, along with many family and friends who will dearly miss him. We are brokenhearted without him.  

Memorial Visitation - Tuesday *** June 28th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 at our West Sayville location, 245 Montauk Hwy. West Sayville, NY

Chapel Service - Tuesday, June 28th at 8 p.m. at the Funeral home.

Interment of ashes - Wednesday, June 29th at 11:30 a.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

A celebration of life gathering will be held afterward at Momma Lombardi's on the Bay, 600 S. Ocean Ave, Patchogue, NY. Everyone is welcome. Please come help celebrate his life with a funny story or special moment you shared with Carl.
