Brian Anthony Tavoulareas

Brian Anthony Tavoulareas, 21, of Sayville, NY, passed away March 16, 2025. Born on July 3, 2003, Brian grew up in Sayville, where he graduated from Sayville High School. From the moment he took his first introductory flight at the age of 10, he dreamed of becoming a commercial airline pilot. He was pursuing that passion as a senior at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, majoring in Aeronautical Science. In recognition of his dedication and achievements, Brian was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science posthumously.

Beyond his love of flying, Brian found joy in reading, golfing, fishing and music. He had an eclectic taste in music, enjoying everything from The Beatles and Pink Floyd, to Alice in Chains and R.E.M. Brian will be remembered for his sharp wit, contagious laugh, and the warmth he brought to those around him.

Brian is survived by his loving parents; Laura and Anthony Tavoulareas, and his beloved brother; Matthew Tavoulareas. He is also survived by his grandmother; Louise Maxworthy, uncles; John Maxworthy (Karyn), Michael Maxworthy (Brenda), and Michael Vasikauskas (Lucille), Aunt; Lona Stiansen, who was married to the late John Vasikauskas, aunt; Agnes Tavoulareas, and his cousins; Aiden, Colin, Carter, Brayden, Michael, Joseph, Christina, Melissa, and Nicholas.

He was welcomed into heaven by his grandfather; John Maxworthy, his Nana; Louise Tavoulareas, his grandfather; Nappy Tavoulareas, and his Uncle; John Vasikauskas.

Brian’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation- Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at our West Sayville Funeral Home, 245 Main St.

Funeral Mass- Monday, March 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church, Sayville
