Bill Hagemann Obituary

Bill Hagemann, 75, of Sayville, LI, died on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.  Born in Germany, Bill came to the U.S. with his family when he was four years old. Bill joined the NYPD when he was 18, and the Suffolk County Police Department a few years later where he worked for 31years. He retired in July of 2003 as Detective Sgt. and Head of Narcotics Enforcement Team. Bill was an avid athlete, boater and was very passionate about cycling. He loved to travel and spending time on the east end of Long Island.

Mr. Hagemann is survived by his wife of 31 years Susan Belzak-Hagemann, his sister Regina Keiser and brother Peter Hagemann.

Friends and relatives will gather on Tuesday, February 13th, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday February 14th 10:15 am at St. Lawrence the Martyr RC Church in Sayville. Interment to follow at the parish cemetery on Lakeland Avenue in Sayville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bill’s memory to Good Shepherd Hospice or The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.  https://www.theaftd.org
