Gerard, Bernard H., of Blue Point on October 23, 2025. Proud Navy veteran of the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart. Bernard was a longtime teacher in the East Islip School District. Beloved husband of the late Ellen. Loving father of Keith (Cynthia), Kevin (Denise), Michael (Ardra) and Gary (Eileen). Cherished grandfather of Jake, Patrick, Eric, Kiersten, Matthew, Megan, Nate, Riley, Courtney and Jack. Memorial visitation 4-7 p.m. Tuesday October 28th at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home, 683 Montauk Highway, Bayport, NY 11705. Graveside serice Wednesday October 29th at 11:00 am. at Blue Point Cemetery, Blue Point.  In lieu of flowers donations in Bernard’s memory may be made to the Autism Society of North Carolina, Attn: Donations, 5121 Kingdom Way #100 Raleigh, NC 27607
