Barbara Reitz Obituary

Barbara S. Reitz, 76, a resident of Bohemia for nearly forty years, died on June 8, 2020. Born and raised in West Islip, Barbara graduated from West Islip High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree at Alfred University and her Master’s Degree at Hofstra University. Mrs. Reitz was an elementary school teacher for nearly thirty years in the Connetquot School District. She was also a member of the Cornell University Gardeners Organization and the Friends of the Bayard Cutting Arboretum and she was an avid bridge player.

Mrs. Reitz is survived by her husband, Cliff, by her daughter, Jennifer Baron and her husband Josh of Dix Hills, her two grandchildren, Evan and Noah, as well as two brothers, Theodore Breiling of California and Richard Breiling of Utah.

Due to the current health crisis, arrangements were private.
