Armand Joseph Rao

Armand Joseph Rao, longtime resident of Ridgewood, Queens, died on August 20, 2025.

Armand served in the United States Army following high school and later worked as a stenographer for several years.

Throughout his life, Armand enjoyed playing cards with his friends and attending concerts, especially to see Celine Dion. He also went on numerous trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.

Armand will be remembered for the way he adored his brother, nieces, nephew and grandnephews.

Armand is survived by his brother Pasquale, his nieces Doreen Orlando and her husband Ronald, and Linda Rao, and his grandnephews Brandon Buschor and Kevin Orlando. Family and friends will gather from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea 683 Montauk Highway Bayport before processing to Calverton National Cemetery for a committal service.
