Ansel Scott Halle was brilliant and complicated. He loved knowledge and had a strong sense of integrity. He was devoted to his friends, Andrew and Anthony, and committed to his girlfriend, Andrea. Ansel loved making people laugh. His quick wit, cleverness, and unique sense of fashion drew people to him.
His interests were deep and varied. He developed an expertise in such topics as World War II, hockey (Go Islanders), serial killers, horror movies, and prog-rock music. In addition, he loved nature, winter, and the State of Maine.
Despite his vast capacity for love and joy, Ansel had many life struggles which he faced with courage every day. He was currently working two jobs as a cook and had just registered to start college for his passion, creative writing. While Ansel found great fulfilment from his job at The Shed, two other favorite jobs were working the haunted house on Halloween and writing hockey articles for a Sports Illustrated website.
He touched many lives and was beloved by many, including his large extended family and his mother, Dian Larkin, and his older sister, Alix Diaconis. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ari Diaconis, and his father, Scott Halle. Ansel was born December 31, 1997 and died June 24, 2021.
