Ann Imburgia Obituary

Ann Marie Imburgia, age 93, longtime resident of Holbrook, NY, died on May 21, 2023. Ann Marie was an active member of Good Shepherd RC Church in Holbrook, NY. And, as a member of Good Shepherd Seniors Group she was beloved and admired by all. She was a person who loved everyone unconditionally and set a great example of what it means to be Christ to others. Her family meant everything to her and we gathered often as family to spend time together.

Ann Marie is survived by her children, Marietta Mastropolo and her husband Michael of Holbrook, Melody Marino and her husband James of Holbrook, Basil Imburgia and his wife Jackie of Dix Hills, her grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Marc, Jacquelyn, Anthony, Dana, James, Briana, Stephen and Joanna as well as seventeen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Steve in 2019.

Reposing Wednesday, May 24th 2 – 4:30 & 7 – 9:30 pm at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home 245 Montauk Hwy. West Sayville. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 25th 10:00 am at Good Shepherd RC Church in Holbrook. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery – Calverton, NY.

 

Ann Marie was born in New Jersey and moved to Brooklyn as a young child. Her loving parents were John Anthony and Lydia Nasuta who were responsible for her happy and fruitful upbringing.

She grew up in the midst of a beautiful and closely knit, extended family. She married Steve Imburgia who was the love of her life. This “Dynamic Duo” was married for 69 ½ years and their sacrificial love became a legacy that filtered down to their three amazing children, 10 beautiful grandchildren and 17 adorable great- grandchildren.

Ann Marie had a strong unwavering faith in God, always referring to Him as the “Good Lord”. She prayed for her family and friends incessantly. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast. Ann Marie was an excellent cook who loved to entertain her family and friends. Her most endearing quality was her profound peace. Whenever you were in her company you could sense her peaceful spirit. Ann Marie also known as Mom, Gram and Babe will be greatly missed. She was loved by so many. Hanging out with Babe made you a better person. May she rest in the Eternal Peace of Jesus!
