Alfred E. Kunsch

Alfred E. Kunsch, age 89, of Bayport died on December 31, 2021. Al graduated from Sayville High School. He received his Professional Degree in Pharmacy from St. John’s University. He owned Thornhills Pharmacy in Sayville for over 30 years before he retired and sold the business. He was married to the love of his life Noreen and they were married for 66 years before she predeceased him in November of 2021.

Alfred is survived by his children; Joseph and his wife Christine, Debbie Gordon, Kathy Williams and her husband Kenny, Geralyn Furci and her husband Thomas, Ann Marie Kress and her husband Robert, Steve and his wife Linda, his 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, his brother Johnny Kunsch and sister in-law Arlene Kunsch. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home 683 Montauk Hwy. Bayport. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 7th at 9:45 am at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church, Blue Point. Interment to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Sayville. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sayville Cabinet for the Sick are appreciated.
