Albert Gardella

Albert Gardella, 86, a fifty-year resident of Sayville, LI, died on May 23, 2021.  Raised in Lindenhurst, Albert graduated from Lindenhurst High School and went on to serve in the US Navy during the Korean War.  Mr. Gardella was a longtime carpenter, working into his seventies.

Mr. Gardella is survived by three children, Patrick Hoyt and his wife Bobbye of Patchogue, Gina Dvoran and her husband Greg of Patchogue and Christy Dechen and her husband Chris of Georgia, his four grandchildren, Cortney, Henry, Hayley and Keelynn, as well as two siblings, Bob of Florida and Linda of Texas.  He was predeceased by his wife Maureen in 2011 and by his son Brian Hoyt in 2009.

Friends and relatives will gather Friday, May 28th, 3-7 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville where a service will be held at 6 p.m.
