Obituary
Adelaide Ann O’Donnell, 100, of Sayville, LI, died peacefully on May 11, 2023. A longtime resident of Jackson Heights, Adelaide moved to Sayville in 1987. Mrs. O’Donnell worked in banking for many years and worked more recently as a bookkeeper at the Sayville Walk-In Medical Center. She was an active member of St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville.
Mrs. O’Donnell was predeceased by her husband, James, in 1988. She is survived by her three children, Patricia Rohling and her husband Michael of Bay Shore, James, Jr and his wife Anne of Sayville and Kathleen Zap and her husband Michael of Connecticut, as well as her nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends and relatives will gather 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16th at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 17th at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church and interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the NYC Firefighters’ Burn Center, 21 Asch Loop, Bronx, New York 10475, are appreciated.
