Vito J. Guzzo

Vito Guzzo was born in Brooklyn NY.  He was born of Sicilian parents and grew up in East NY.  He was married for 52 years and had 4 children.  Out of high school he had a passion for airplane mechanics.  He had many jobs in the machine shops and even joined the NYC Police Department.  He settled on owning his own Private Investigation and Security business and moving to Long Island.

His passion was painting.  He excelled at painting but did not persue  it at as a career because it was his understanding that it was not easy to make a living that way.  So in his 40’s he picked up his brushes again and starting painting.  Fishing and crabbing was another thing he loved to do.  He was a terrible fisherman but enjoyed going out every day he could to “fish”. 

He had great taste in movies.   Since he was hard of hearing you could listen to his movies down the block.  He became active later in life with St Lawerence church.
