Robert F. O'Rourke

Visiting Hours:  Thursday, June 27th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at our West Sayville funeral home.

Funeral Mass:  Friday, June 28th, 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church, Sayville.

Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Robert F. O’Rourke, 76, of Bayport, LI, died on Saturday, June 22, 2019.  Born and raised in Park Slope, Mr. O’Rourke graduated from St. Francis Prep and later from Hofstra University.  Robert served in the US Army after the Korean War and then worked for nearly fifty years with Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage.  He was also an active member at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville.

Mr. O’Rourke is survived by his wife, Claire, his two sons, Sean and his wife Tara of Port Jefferson Station and Ryan of Bayport, two grandchildren, Patrick and Ava, his sister, Annemarie Busch of Texas and his sister-in-law, Kathy O’Rourke of Holbrook.  He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Anna, by his brother, Thomas, as well as by his brother-in-law, Glenn Busch.
