Richard "Engineer Man" Moore

Richard (Engineer Man) Moore rode his final train ride, to the end of the line, on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.

Ginnie (nee Becht), his wife, was there to see him off, as was his brother Tim and sister-in-law Sheryl. Rich is survived by his sister Penny and her husband Al Froeschl, his sister-in-law Ellen Benfield, his ’daughter’ Esme (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel),  along with many cousins, nieces and nephews, who will always remember Rich with a smile and a funny story.

Every time you see a mechanical pencil and yellow lined pad, a glass of tonic water with a lime, or an animal of any variety, please know that Rich is saying ‘Hi’ to you in that moment.

Ginnie would like everyone to know that Rich was the kindest most principled man to come into her life and it was an honor to be his wife.  Their love came late in life and they both agreed it was worth the wait.

Memorial Visitation will be Saturday January 4, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral home, 245 Main St., West Sayville. Chapel Service 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Luncheon will be held at the Sayville Inn immediately after the funeral service. All are welcome
