Paula Baker, 61, died Dec. 2 after a yearlong valiant battle with lung cancer. A resident of Bayport since 1984, Mrs. Baker was a special education paraprofessional with Eastern Suffolk BOCES for 20 years. She loved her job and the children in her care. 

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Richard; her children, Richard Jr. and wife, Faith, of Holbrook, and Brittney Baker Maggiore and husband, Seth, of Patchogue; and her three grandchildren, Hannah Maggiore, Madison and Ryan Baker.
